I bought my grain mill!

October 21, 2011 in Uncategorized

Today comes with exciting news and much dancing around the house! I bought my grain mill!

I have been eying the Nutrimill for quite some time now, and my sweet husband and I have been talking about whether or not we should go ahead and purchase it. We are sure that I would use it a lot, as I have been making my own bread from scratch a lot lately using store-bought pre-ground wheat. However, I have read in so many places that grinding your own wheat saves money, is healthier (more nutrients in your wheat with freshly ground), and it tastes better all around!

So, I have been on the hunt for a good bargain for this grain mill. Recently, I found the mill on Amazon for $239.99 & free shipping (the best bargain I had found). I talked over the deal with my husband, and when he agreed that I should purchase the mill for that price. Well, I went to buy it that night and the price had gone up by $30! No, thank you. It’s worth my $30 to wait.

So, I have been looking ever since, yet I haven’t found another good deal… until this morning. Overstock.com has the Nutrimill on sale today for $229.99 & free shipping. THEN, I found a promo code (ALWAYS look for a promo code when online shopping! A few clicks could save you quite a bit of money) for $12.00 off any order over $200. Yes, please! So, after the sales & promo code, my order total was $218 for a brand new Nutrimill! Woohoo!

I am looking forward to receiving my grain mill sometime next week. My Azure Standard order with my grain will come in two weeks from now.

It pays to be patient & frugal.

Who CAN find that ol’ “Virtuous Woman?”

October 13, 2011 in Uncategorized

Dishes, laundry, bills, grocery shopping, breakfast, lunch, dinner, devotional time, time with your spouse, children, parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, church, work outside the home, school, couponing, hospitality & service, Bible study, house cleaning, budgeting, Christmas shopping, birthday parties, special events, etc.

There are so many everyday events that we piece together to create this puzzle called “life.” This can be a very good thing, and at times it can be a very bad thing. We find that the everyday blessings of life bring joy & fulfillment, but at the same time they can leave us drained physically, emotionally, mentally, and sometimes even spiritually.

So, what’s a girl to do? Who can find a virtuous woman???

Thankfully, that long list above does not make or break who we are.
